How do I cope with this, please help?

Hi,

I am in my 20s, I live at home, go to school full time and I work full time. I have fibromyalgia ( a chronic pain condition) and endometriosis. I have pain every day, the pain doesn't go away. My family doesn't support me, they don't try to help me or understand where I am coming from. I try so hard day after day, I push through the pain and never stop even when it gets so bad that I have to force myself to get out of bed each morning...there are days where getting a shower and dressed are a major task but I still go to work and school. I don't know how to cope with the pain, it is causing a lot of stress for me and emotionally I am a wreck but no one knows. I hide it from my friends and my boyfriend...and my family doesn't care anyway so they don't know either. I know I need help but I don't know what to do, I would really appreciate any suggestions...thank you

Update:

I am seeking medical care, I am currently on medications and I see a Rhuematologist and a specialist but the drugs aren't helping

I'm sorry, I wish I could help. I'm in a similar boat. I'll do my best though.

First of all, you're a strong woman to deal with fibromyalgia and endometriosis. It can't be easy and I'm sorry it's happening to you, but I also think this is going to make you the most amazing person when this stress has passed. And you deserve it.

A suggestion is maybe try going on anti depressants. I know many people see shame in it but there isn't. If you need them for a while, then you do and that's okay. You have a lot on your plate.

Try and find something that's just for you. Reading, jogging, yoga, anything. You should not have this much responsibility. If you have to stop doing something one day, stop it and pick up on it tomorrow. Or pick a designated day where no one is allowed to bug you unless you say it's okay.

Another thing would be.to confide in your boyfriend or best friend! That's a little reason why we have them! I bet they come to you when they need you, so go to them. You can't just keep piling your own problems and then have everybody elses too, girl. Learn to share some of the problems with others :) It is not your responsibility 100% of the time.

See a Rheumatologist and they can address the pain, I have it too and I am on disability, I take Tramadol with a Tylenol twice a day 50 mg. Cymbalta is approved for Fibro pain and it has helped my girlfriend. There is also Lyrica and Savella. I suggest you go to Costco and buy a memory foam topper for your bed, Best money I ever spent. No more tossing and turning or waking up like an old lady. The best repetative exersize for fibro is cycling outdoors and it's fun! The memory foam is $89 for a queen
