Ramadan : What would it take to.....?

Stop something that your not sure of, whether the deed is an of disobedience or not to Allah(swt) and that your confused about intentions and other things, but feel guilty about it, then again convince yourself that your intention was right, but again feel guilty after it. Btw, you end up doing it, because you have nothing better to do in life, anyway.

If my above passage confused you, pls this is my Question..

How would you know that a particular act or deed is NOT disobedience to Allah(swt), when it is not clearly mentioned?

JazaakumAllahu Khiren

Assalaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu :)

Update:

So sister Rosy, the very fact that I'm feeling guilty makes it a sin, according to the hadith....?

Thanks a million for answering sis, right what I needed :)

    to answer your question, first you need to study islam in the light of scriptures

    When defecating do not face Qibla nor turn your backside towards Qibla; use three stones and your right hand to cleanse your private parts… (Sunaan Tirmidhi, 128)

    Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 4, Number 148:

    Narrated 'Aisha:

    The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. 'Umar used to say to the Prophet "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam'a the wife of the Prophet went out at 'Isha' time and she was a tall lady. 'Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes).

    Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 2 :: Hadith 49

    Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:

    I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is

    the heart.

    p.s. i wish to share another 'eye' opening hadith!

    the one which scared ME the most! lol

    hope you dont mind!

    no offense to anyone!

    HERE IT IS!

    Muslim :: Book 20 : Hadith 4688

    It has been narrated on the authority of Sulaiman b. Yasar who said: People dispersed from around Abu Huraira, and Natil, who was from the Syrians. said to him: O Shaikh, relate (to us) a tradition you have heard from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). He said: Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: The first of men (whose case) will be decided on the Day of Judgment will be a man who died as a martyr. He shall be brought (before the Judgment Seat). Allah will make him recount His blessings (i. e. the blessings which He had bestowed upon him) and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his life). (Then) will Allah say: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I fought for Thee until I died as a martyr. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You fought that you might be called a" brave warrior". And you were called so. (Then) orders will be passed against him and he will be dragged with his face downward and cast into Hell. Then will be brought forward a man who acquired knowledge and imparted it (to others) and recited the Qur'an. He will be brought And Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them (and admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Then will Allah ask: What did you do (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I acquired knowledge and disseminated it and recited the Qur'an seeking Thy pleasure. Allah will say: You have told a lie. You acquired knowledge so that you might be called" a scholar," and you recited the Qur'an so that it might be said:" He is a Qari" and such has been said. Then orders will be passed against him and he shall be dragged with his face downward and cast into the Fire. Then will be brought a man whom Allah had made abundantly rich and had granted every kind of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make him recount His blessings and he will recount them and (admit having enjoyed them in his lifetime). Allah will (then) ask: What have you done (to requite these blessings)? He will say: I spent money in every cause in which Thou wished that it should be spent. Allah will say: You are lying. You did (so) that it might be said about (You):" He is a generous fellow" and so it was said. Then will Allah pass orders and he will be dragged with his face downward and thrown into Hell.

    i.e. this hadith is with regards to THIS one:

    the FIRST hadith of Bukhari!

    Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 1 :: Hadith 1

    Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab:

    I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for."

    Source(s): cool fundamentalist. Please do pray for us all! k? sis? May Allah guide us all to the rightful path i.e. Islam,as mentioned in the Quran and the sahih hadith. Ameen.
