iPhone 4 - Something Inside Rattles While Shaking It?

I noticed a very soft rattling noise when I shake the phone. This noise comes from around the camera and sleep/power button. If I hold the power button (not press) and shake the device, I can reproduce the rattling noise, but if I press and hold the power button as if trying to power off the device, there is no rattling noise. I haven't dropped the phone since I got it. What could be loose inside the phone?

Phones shouldn't have a rattle, my iPhone doesn't. If you've just bought the phone recently I would suggest going into the Apple shop and asking them about it. Something could be broken inside the phone, although its not visible yet. I dropped something heavy onto my iPod touch once, and it seemed to work fine until a couple of months later where the earphone jack had broken completely.

thats how all electronics sound when you shake em. Not to worry. I got a bnew phone 2 months ago it makes a little rattling but those thigs are just the components inside the phone when it is in motion. Dont worry just use your phone like normal

Same thing with my iPhone 4, i think the lock button is loosely put in there. Cheap China manufactures, cheap Apple for having them made in China
