IBM x3200 M3 server - not recognizing hot swap drives?

Hi,

I have a brand new IBM x3200 M3 server and have 2 hot swap sata drives for it (no OS). It is booting from a network drive to receive an image but I getting error messages about non-existent disk.

How can I check if the system is actually detecting these drives? There are no LED lights coming on them. Is there somewhere in the bios I can go (and how to get into that?)

It is supposed to be easy to get these things going but I am stuck without drives being recognized! any help would be great.

Update:

According to the instructions they should be able to be plugged in and detected...

    question?

Have you read the instruction manual?

Have you partitioned and formated the drives?

Are the drives the same make and size?
