ADD experiences can you please help?

Is there anybody out there who has had experience with ADD? My 14 year old son has it, or at least we suspect he has it and I wonder what a parent can do to help and also what can be done by his teachers. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

Yes I was diagnosed at the age of 13. (25 now) so was my best friend.

ADD is a made up condition that is usually diagnosed by teachers rather than doctors. It generally implies lack of attention in school, Being impulsive and has a difficult time with instruction. Traits of a child with a personality. Not to mention schools do nothing to keep children interested in any subject matter they are not already interested in. So the doctor will advise you to feed your child ADD drugs that are Amphetamines. They have a very calming effect and you will soak in information like a sponge and retain it amazingly well. I was on Dexadrine myself (detroamphetamine sulphate). Most ADD drugs are highly sought after and are sold by many users.

Source(s): The drugs really do work, but so does a good reality check.
