Reasonable "chuck-out" time?

If you were renting a room in a house and the landlord lived in the same house (with 1 or 2 other lodgers) and occasionally you had a friend over, what would a reasonable "chuck-out" time be (that would be imposed by the landlord)?

10:00pm, after that you might as well call it a sleep-over. Hotels generally have about the same rules.

Most people feel entitled to have anyone at any time, but the landlord is the boss about this. Follow his rules, or move.
