on second ultrasound said baby was gone ...?

my 1st ultrasound the obgyn tells me i was supposed to be 8 weeks.when the did the ultrasound, they could not find the baby.so they had me go on and empty my bladder.so i did, & they did the vaginal ultrasound.they found a healthy baby with a heart beat.but the doctor came in & claimed either he miscalculated my due date OR the baby is not developing right & headed for a miscarriage. (my second one at that.) so he rescheduled another ultrasound about 2 weeks and 3 days later.i went to it,and again.they could not find the baby.so they had me empty my bladder again.i did.they did vaginal, & it all seemed like deja vu to me.this time they claim they could NOT see the baby at all & could NOT get a heart beat.how is that possible?then when i chose to do miscarriage naturally instead of d&c.the doctor decides to do hcg levels on me by taking blood.my first was done on my second ultrasound day and my levels were very high.the next will be done tomorrow, and the doctor said if they drop the pregnancy is ending.then he added if they are rising he will do another ultrasound to see what is going on.what are the odds he can be wrong on this miscarriage?can he be wrong?if so, should i stand my ground and tell him i want to do it all naturally?should i get a second opinion?help give me all you know, include tests the doctor will perform on me to test me after my second miscarriage to see if anything is wrong with me!

Well if hgc levels are high, doesnt necessarily mans that everythings ok, and your still pregnant. I have not much info for you. T&C might be a better category for knowing what tests they will perform after. I have had 2 miscarriages as well, but never had any tests done? I think that is more optional on your part. To see a fertility specialist maybe.

    HCG levels in pregnancy

HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, is a hormone made by the pregnancy that can be detected in the mother's blood or urine even before the woman's missed period. This hormone is what we look for with a "pregnancy test".

HCG is first detectable in the blood as early as 7-8 days after ovulation by very sensitive HCG assays (research assays). In real life, blood pregnancy tests will be positive (> 2 mIU/ml) by 10-11 days after HCG injection or LH surge.

In general, the HCG level will double every 2-3 days in early pregnancy.

85% of normal pregnancies will have the HCG level double every 72 hours.

HCG levels peak at about 8-10 weeks of pregnancy and then decline, remaining at lower levels for the rest of the pregnancy.

There is a large variation in a "normal" HCG level for any given time in pregnancy.

Pregnancies destined to miscarry or to be ectopic (tubal) pregnancies tend to show lower levels (eventually), but often have normal levels initially.

Some normal pregnancies will have quite low levels of HCG - and deliver perfect babies. Caution must be used in making too much of HCG "numbers". Ultrasound findings after 5-6 weeks of pregnancy are much more predictive of pregnancy outcome than are HCG levels.

For women that have had an HCG injection as part of their fertility treatment, the hormone takes about 5-14 days to clear from her system, depending on the dose and the individual woman. This can causes problems with interpretation of pregnancy tests done earlier than 14 days after an HCG injection.

So Sorry to hear your going through this, I had a blighted ovum back in 2007, I was devastated, they couldn't find baby at 6 weeks, said they should be able to see something, they said the same the thing, either wait it out, or get a d&c, I had heard stories of women who had been told the same thing and held their ground, went back in a few weeks and there was a healthy baby, so I went back at 8 weeks, they still found no baby and my sac was shrivelling, so it was sort of my reassurance I was making the right choice, I got the d&c done at 9 weeks.

I would definitely wait until you get back HCG results, if they havent doubled, the chances are great that your miscarrying, I opted for the D&C so I could just move on and try again sooner, best wishes

Dont permit the medical professionals scare you out of getting the beginning you desire. I realize 2 folks that clearly gave beginning to ten pound toddlers. They say it dosnt mostly make so much change what dimension they're. they might nonetheless have a small head diameter and thats the tough facet, birthing the pinnacle. Also the ones scans can also be completly off. I realize sooooo many folks who had past due ultrasounds and had been instructed that their youngster could weigh such and such quantity and the youngster comes out completly exclusive. The extra alongside to your being pregnant you have got a measurment experiment performed, the extra space for mistakes. Also, in case your general practitioner is quite worried that you're going to now not beginning clearly perhaps you will have to do not forget early induction. Maybe simply having a few doses of the gel gets matters going for you. Its greater then a c-segment. But actually, I could attempt to speak to a midwife or doulla and get their opinion. Doctors are too into thier chopping and dicing

I think you did the right thing to decide to wait it out. If you can find someone else that can give you a second opinion, and go for it. If that second opinion concurs then I still say wait it out, jic. If you do have a miscarriage at least you will know you did everything you could to save baby.

you prob wont have a miscarriage. the same thing happen to me and i have a healthy 7 month old boy. i freaked out but my hcg levels kept going up so they stopped worrying. my baby was a dot til about 12 weeks than it grew like over night. so dont worry if the babys meant to be it will be here. my son was. im sure your baby will be fine. dont worry. goodluck and congrats

DO NOT let them do a D & C on you. Your baby might be fine and they just cant find him or her and that would kill it. Just wait it out. See what happens naturally and if you are cleary having a mis. then you can go ahead with the D & C if you want but i still think they are not needed unless you have complications.

This doctor sounds like I flake. I would get a second opinion before taking anything any further.
