I am looking for a free pattern for a casserole tote to sew.?

I do not want to have to quilt it or use quilted fabric. I used to have a nice simple pattern that used dowels to carry it but I lost it. Any help would be appreciated.

Or there's always the carrier I made back in brownies, ca. 1960 -- it's still going to church dinners with my aunt: Make a 24" piece of "belt loop" by sewing tube of fabric to finish at 1/2" wide. Turn the tube, press flat, and stitch to make a long strip of what looks like belt loop on jeans. Cut the 24" strip into

eight 3" strips. Fold in half crosswise and baste the cut ends together.

Take two large circles of sturdy cotton fabric, and place right sides together.. Pin the basted loops evenly around the edge of the circles, matching the cut edges of the loops to the cut edge of the circle. The fold of the loop should point to the middle of the circles. Stitch all around the edge of the circles, leaving about 2" open between two of the loops. Turn right side out, which should give you a circle with 8 loops like "legs" sticking out around the edge. Slipstitch the opening closed, and press. Topstitch the circle. Cut a length of rope or cord larger than the circle circumference. Stick the rope through the loops, and tie the two ends of the rope together. Done.
