potential allergic reaction to rabies vaccine?

Today i just had my 70lb neutered siberian husky vaccinated for rabies. He's four years old and this is his third time getting his rabies vaccine (one at around 12 weeks, one at one year old, and one at four years old.) I adopted him 6 months ago and the owners never told me of my dog having any side affects or allergic reactions to vaccines. I also just had him vaccinated 1 month ago for DHPPL, corona, and bordetella and he didn't have any reactions to it. I'm really worried about him, after he was vaccinated and we got home he started acting dangerously aggressive. He has NEVER acted like this before and i had to crate him for my own safety. If i walk by the crate he freaks out and tries to attack while growing, snapping, barking, and lunging. I think this may be a an allergic reaction and i have no idea what to do. I DO NOT want to have to put my dog down because a vaccine required by the state made him dangerous!!!

Be very cautious around your dog. Call an emergency veterinary clinic if you can't reach your vet. Describe your pet's behavior and ask if it could be a reaction to the rabies vaccine. If so, the doctor there will be able to give you some useful advice. Dogs do NOT get rabies from a vaccine. BUT a dog may get a reaction to any vaccine at any time in its life. This is probably the first time your dog got a reaction, IF that is what this is.

If the vet says it can't be a vaccine reaction, make an appointment to bring your dog in for an exam SOON, to find out if something is causing him PAIN. Dogs in pain can be very aggressive. It could be a slipped disc, a slight sprain, a cracked bone, a broken toenail, or ???l. Don't examine him without a muzzle!

Rabies is main important one. For other vaccines its depends on the situation. You need to consult with local Vetnary docter.

this doesnt sound like a vaccine reaction.

vaccine reactions are typically more like an allergic reaction... swelling at injection site, facial swelling, difficulty breathing, lethargy, etc

This does not sound like a reaction. Call your Vet ASAP!
