how to hook up an aiwa model no. ca-dw539u as surround sound to a tv with output jacks?
I have an Aiwa model No. CA-DW539U and would like to hook it up to my tv as surround sound for my xbox360. Is this possible? If so how?

It's not possible to use this as "surround sound". Surround sound not only has multiple speakers (usually 5 or more) that surround the listener, but each speaker is connected to an independent channel. This allows the listener to hear different effects coming from different locations. The end result is a 3 demensional sound stage that gives the illusion of being in the film.
The Aiwa stereo that you have is simply that... a stereo. This means it only has two channels. This is not enough channels to provide surround sound.
If, however, you would like to connect your Aiwa to your TV for stereo sound, you may be able to do so provided your TV has RCA output jacks and your stereo has input jacks. Unfortunately, I don't see that this model stereo has input jacks, so you may be out of luck.
