windows internet explorer vista wont connect to the internet?

Question

when i try to connect to the internet, i get to blank off line page and when i do the diagnoses to check the connection it say i need to reconfigure the proxy server, i was poking around in the proxy server but i dont see what i need to change,. please help with detailed instructions,. thanks guys,. oh and by the way, i can connect with yahoo messenger but when i try to click on the part with the little mail box the same page comes up with the internet explorer,. it also say that i have connection when i test the internet connection,.but like i said,. it say i have to do something to the proxy server,.

Disable the use of the proxy server in internet explorer tools > internet options > connections > LAN settings. That should solve the problem, next I recommend running a quick virus scan.

stop screwing around with proxy servers, that's what hacker use, some sites well block u forever, u going to have go t internet options & un check proxy>:) Viola
