Lord of the flies Chapter 7?

I am doing some questions and I can't figure out some of the answers.

1.How do the two sides of the island affect Ralph's hopes for rescue?

2.What Prediction does Simon make?

    1. Half of the island is now undisciplined, and Ralph is worried that the ocean is a large wall, preventing any hope of escape.

    2. Simon looks straight at Ralph and tells him that Ralph will make it off the island. This is hinting at Simon's death, and Ralph's rescue.
