Been there before, I could handle it again if I had to.

Most old people lived through the Depression and know how to survive.

I'm damn scared of poverty. I grew up poor which made me better at saving money than anyone I know, but I decided that after I graduate from college I will never allow myself to become poor like my parents did. It's not that we were unhappy. We were just fine being poor & it's not like our house was so bad that we had to watch for hole in the floor or that we ever starved... nonetheless, it made me very aware of what it's like to not have money.

Am I scared of solitude? Hell no! I am beyond thrilled when my parents leave the house at the same time! There is nothing better than having the house to myself for a day. And friends? I see them at school anyway, so why would I feel the need to see them when I should be finishing homework?
