my mother has been dia. with kidney failure and is diabetic, doc says she will die in 10 days its been 5 weeks?

and she is still doing ok is this normal she has less then 5% kidney function, we are wondering how much longer can she live like this

    I'm sorry to say that the time will come when it comes. If it's only one kidney, then she can live off the other one if it is still healthy. Diabetes isn't easy to live with but it is livable. If both her kidney's are failing then I'm very sorry and only can hope she could get better or maybe a transplant. I'm sorry that there isn't any way of telling how long she has.
