How convert my hard disk from NTFS to FAT32?

You cannot simply "convert" a format... to change the format, it must be reformatted. I know this will work for a flash drive, I've done it many times, but never a 500GB SATA. In "Computer" right click on the connected drive and select "format". This will bring up a small dialog box with some formatting options. Select FAT32 from the drop-down menu, and hit format. This may take some time; it only takes about 4 seconds on a 1GB flash drive, so theoretically, it would take 500x longer for your hard drive, which is only about 15 minutes,

The PS3 uses a modified fat32 format and no pc can read it. That's my understanding of it anyway. There may be someone out there that has done a work around for this but I've never seen it.

if you have a win xp installer that is not a big problem....if u do get the disk inside and when prompt use the partion you want to use(in this case the 500gb harddrive) once done that select format but choose the option to FAT but make a full format not a quick one....that shoulg converted from NTFS to FAT...

You must reformat, there is no way to convert to FAT32 from NTFS.

I agree with the above ans.......... just back up your data... right click on local disk.... click format....... change file system from fat32 to ntfs or vice versa and click on quick format tick box..... and format the hdd
