The story (No spoilers!):

Halo: Reach takes place in late 2552, during the Covenant (religious coalition of aliens) invasion of the Human colony world Reach, which serves as the main military center of the UNSC. The game follows Noble Team, a six-man special operations unit of one SPARTAN-II and five SPARTAN-III commandos. The player assumes the role of the team's latest member, SPARTAN-B312 or "Noble Six" and will be defending Reach from its ultimate downfall at the hands of the Covenant forces.

The gameplay:

The HUD highlights environmental features and overlay information about them, and the motion sensor display is three-dimensional. Halo: Reach also has a refined equipment system known as "Armor Abilities." Pieces of equipment can now be selected upon respawning (or picked up of the ground for certain gametypes and campaign); armor abilities are reusable with a recharge time between uses. A new assassination system is also featured, in which holding down the melee button will trigger a context-sensitive, third-person assassination animation.

Players are able to personalize their character's armor with a greater variety of customization options, and the appearance will be consistent across campaign and multiplayer. The armor permutations are only to be cosmetic and will not affect gameplay. Players are limited to customizing a SPARTAN multiplayer model but given the option of changing their character's gender. Players are given the option to play as an Elite multiplayer model, though only in specific gametypes such as Firefight Versus, Invasion and other Elite-specific gametypes. Both multiplayer models have different gameplay properties; the Elite multiplayer model is physically superior, has a fully recharging health and faster shield regeneration than their SPARTAN counterpart. Overall, their only disadvantage is their massive size which makes them much more noticeable targets.

Tips:

1. Aim for the head, not the body.

2. If playing on Legendary or Heroic campaign utilize Cover

3. If playing on Legendary or Heroic campaign Snipe from a distance with a Sniper, DMR, Pistol, Needle Rifle or a Focus Rifle.

4. Use the Hologram Armor Ability as a scout.

5. When playing in Legendary or Heroic and when hiding in cover send a hologram to draw fire. and start sniping!

Halo 1, and 2 where made for the original xbox. Halo 3, for the xbox 360. the 360 is backwards compatible with some games including halo 1 and 2. there is a story line that would be best if you played the story in order. And with all the halo games there is something called co-op which means you could play the story with your daughter. There is also an online multiplayer for halo 2 and 3 (best for 3) and that also has co-op. and I got the pro and it comes with a mic, ethernet cord, 1 controller power and AV cables. and to play multiplayer you need xbox live which costs money. your hard-drive should have 1 free month. Also a warning xbox 360's break a lot. mine just did, all new 360's come with a 1 year warranty. and a 3 year for a certain crash. and if you get that certain crash your warranty restarts to three years i think.

story line - You play a sparta ( bad @ss betchs in halo) you are a team of 6. you all die 1 by 1. Even yu die. The story to Halo Reach is that aliens are invading Planet Reach and you did't know so now the envasion is almost complete you guys try to stop it but in the end it's too late you all lose and reach is overruned by the aliens.

If you dot know the story line it's best to go play it with our friends co op. only 2 players though i think and 4+ online.

Dont listen to what ben31 jumping in midair dont do shet you still die. and spraying is stupid. waste of bullets and gives off your location. if in a big map try to stay back and hide and snipe if close range just keep on lock and fire and charge if you get close whack him dont shoot. unless it;s with a shot gun. or heavy gun like spartan laser or rocket. whackihim 2 times to kill 1-2 times in the back to kill.

When shooting try to aim for the head that gets the easiest kills. usually dead blank in the face is 1 shot kill.

If your playing online, jump and spray with your gun until your close enough to punch jump and punch in mid air. If your playing campaign or career they just stay behind your team mate and stay at a sniping distance.

Edit: Thanks for 'Trolling' Jacob. If you do what Jacob is telling you to do then you need to be playing SWAT it is where you have no shield so its 1 shot kill in the head and 2 shot kill anywhere else.
