I disagree. I am an AVID reader and read 3 - 4 books a week. I have several going at once. I fought the kindle for a long time. I like the feel and smell of books. I bought a kindle to share books easier with my book buddy. I love it. Of course sharing is easier, but there are so many other great attributes.

The obvious, I can get a book where ever I am, I don't have to go the the bookstore. The screen is black print on a white background, just like paper. You can make the font bigger (might help with the headaches). I can preorder my books and they appear on the release date. There are even free books. If you come across a word you don't know, you place your cursor in front of the word and the dictionary provides the definition.

The price is down to $135. Try one.

compared to just buying a book? they're useless.

a book will survive if it gets soaked, never runs out of battery and is far less likely to be stolen.

i had a look at the kindle, and after "reading" from it for about an hour, my head got sore and my eyes were sore. something about the colour just isn't right in my opinion.

get one for the sole reason that you can show off, if that's your thing.
