i have an essay on these plays and one of the questions is:
List and explain six literary elements that unify the Theban trilogy(oedipus). Explain the purpose of each element using references to all three plays.

Well, irony. Creon does the same thing in Antigone that Oedipus did in Oedipus Rex.
I haven't read Oedipus at Colonus (that's the name, isn't it?) because my teacher only required the other two. If i think of any more i will update my answer.
