    Las Vegas, especially at night, all the wonderful lights, it looks like thousands of fireflies dancing. Magnificent.

    Last winter I came out of New York LaGuardia airport and crossed the northern tip of Manhattan - I was in a window seat, and as the plane banked I was able to see right down the whole of the island. It was awesome, with Central Park, then the skyscrapers (Empire State, Chrysler Bldg) farther down, and the East River and Hudson River to the sides.
