Nothing, except change it ,
never heard of a entrance door being hollow, it should be solid,
go to a building salvage company, usually you can get a good deal , and doors are usually in good shape,

Casey saying an entrance door should be fire rated is about as absurd of of an idea that I have ever heard of. A fire rated door is to prevent a fire from spreading and if the fire is on the inside of the house what does it hurt to spread to the outside other than letting it vent out stopping the chance of a back draft!! A exterior door should not be a hollow core door at all, if so replace it. All doors whether being steel, fiberglass or wood have their advantages and disadvantages. The most secure one is the fiberglass but it comes with some limitations in the looks department so if looks are not as important as security I would go with fiberglass. The reasons are steel will flex causing the lock mechanisms throw to slightly retract from the jamb to where fiberglass will not flex as much. A wood door will break and splinter causing failure.

First of all, an entry door should be fire rated and not hollow core, regardless of security concerns, according to most building codes. The only thing to make them more secure is to make sure your lock is in good condition and if it's a concern for you, a deadbolt. Having them working properly and fully engaged in a solidly installed door jamb is about all you can do, because usually the jamb is the weak link in the system, not the locks, the hinges, or the door. With a hollow core door, it may be the door itself, but nothing short of a steel door with a steel jamb is going to stop someone determined to get in. There's a lot of other ways to deter that sort of thing, like home security systems and a big dog (really).
Steel or fiberglass would have a higher R value than wood because they have insulation in the middle, but probably not by a lot. And they would all be stronger than the door jamb and be better for security than the hollow one.
A home center is going to have the best value on most things because there's so much competition. If you can, wait for a sale because they are often in the fliers. The profit margin is low on the doors, but higher on the associated hardware. You can also find deeply discounted custom ordered doors if you have the patience and the willingness to shop around because people return them to the stores all the time and it's cheaper for them to sell them than ship them back to the manufacturer.

Look on craigslist under materials. Also look for recycled construction materials or used doors in your area. There are great deals to be had if you take the time to look. Your entrance door should not be a hollow core.

I agree with Gibson_slayer - if its painted, use some automobile bondo, itll take some time - a day or so, but it would be a lil cheeper then getting a new door. The other options - adhere a piece of 'Luan' wood to it - comes in 4x8 sheets - really thin wood, use a wood glue and some small nails in the corners to hold it while glue drys ( door would need to be taken off and set level) or the fastest way- a whole new door.

Look at it this way. You take out the hollow door and put in a Fort Knox grade vault door. If somebody wants to break into your house then all they have to do then is break a window. Even a hollow door is harder to break than glass. Put in a decent grade deadbolt to deter the less ambitious criminal and a security system to deter the more sophisticated ones. As far as insulation any residential door you buy that is insulated will have a very low R-value, less than 5. Weather seal and a decent storm door will cut down on drafts and will help as much as an insulated door.
