CD/DVD Brands for Hi-Fi audio mp3 recording..?

Which CD/DVD brand/brands would be the best for high quality,hi-fi sound of mp3 audio music recording and durability of data recorded/written on it? Maxell,Mitsubishi,SONY or others?

    If you want the best results, record using the wav format. Mp3 loses some of the information.

    However, depending upon the playback equipment and, perhaps, your hearing, you might not notice the difference.

    If you search Google for "wav vs mp3 quality", it may help you decide.
