I changed my password on gmail, and now the "Mail" icon on my MacBook Pro does not get new emails?

Go to Mail Notifier settings and change the password there.. it's probably storing the old one.

Hello, unless your Mac Book has an Internet connection that's always on, you will be disconnected when there is no Internet connection. Once you're connected to the Internet it's a matter of opening the mail icon and re-discovering the Gmail server. Example, my iPhone has 3G 24/7 so technically my mail is always available. My laptop only has WIFI so when I'm not connected my mail app is inactive. I'm not sure if this is the issue but hope it sheds some light on the subject.

I'm not sure if what you're referring to is the Google Notifier. If so, click on the mail icon, choose Preferences, then the Account tab, then the Change Account button. Enter your new password.

If you're not referring to the Google Notifier, your problem is the same, that the stored password that link is using is no longer correct, and you need to figure out how to change it. Explore preference or account options within the program, and enter your new password.
