I messed up, now how can I fix it?

When I started talking to this girl I think I may have came across too flirty and hinted I liked her too much, overall I tried too hard so when I asked her out she said she wanted to be friends, despite the fact our mutual friends helped me out by talking to her. Now I can talk to her like any other friend I have that's a girl and make her laugh and it's just a lot easier to talk to her. The only thing is I still have feelings for her, but she has feelings for this other guy but they aren't officially "together." What can I do now to try and get her to like me besides texting and chatting her a lot. Note: we don;t go to the same school but they are really close together.

Update:

One more thing: I never liked anyone this much so I'm not ready to give up just yet. All I'm looking for is what my other options are.

Update 2:

Also, we text and all that like A LOT and this guy just moved here the only thing is this guy goes to her school so she gets to know him better. There's gotta be some little things that I can do to help.

Overall, you can't force her to like you. And even if you could it would be especially difficult since she's talking to someone already.

If you two are meant to be together, you will be.

    Hope this helps!

if she is the jealous type, flirt with another girl and get her attention.

    or

open the door for her and be nice and cute idk.. small stuff like that matter
