What's up with all these people trying to "Invite me to connect with " " on Yahoo!"? It's annoying!?

I get about 30 of those emails in my inbox a day...what the fudge.

There has been a recent increase in spamming. Yahoo is attempting to modify the privacy settings to prevent all of the spam emails and friend requests that we have been getting. This is a trial and error procedure and they are working the bugs out of it. Unfortunately, it is effecting your nickname and avatar because those are tied in to people`s security settings. Yahoo has promised that the situation will either be resolved soon, or it wont be. Either way, nothing we can do about it.

It appears to be a new way of spamming, if you accept them and connect them it has been reported they give a link to a porn site infected by drive by malware . The only way to stop it seem s to be on your privacy settings in pulse. Basically ban everything.

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/pulse/search/psea...

some guy created bots which search the Y!A pulse profile and then try to connect to the profiles.

you will have to manage your pulse setting to make the bots stop.
