why do a lot of people not like pickup truck drivers?

There's a line. First, there's the people who buy 3/4 and 1 ton rams, F350s, etc. and use them because they have trailers to tow, things to haul, etc. or they use it for work. Then there's the mall crawlers. The people who buy those vehicles, stick a 12" lift on it and 48" tires, and the most dirt they see is a mall parking lot. Then there's also the people who you see...1 woman driving a big SUV with 3 rows of seats...not a child seat in sight, just her. Who needs that big of a vehicle if you don't have anyone to carry? And these are the people that, when I worked later, I would ALWAYS see putting on makeup, talking on the phone, etc. and can't keep it in one lane. There are, of course, those people who can't drive in anything, but it seems that the worse of a driver someone is, the more they are gravitated towards big vehicles, because it makes them feel more "safe".

I also feel this is a sore political issue, because I'm personally torn on it. On one hand, I think everyone has the freedom to buy and do what they want, as long as it isn't putting anyone else in harms way. The other part of me says that you should have to have a specific license to drive vehicles over a certain length/width/height/weight, which would help get rid of some of the wasteful vehicles off the road, which would satisfy the econazi's who complain about emissions, and will reduce the quantity of gas that's consumed, which should provide some relief in gas prices, as demand will drop, so will prices. Same reasoning goes behind thinking that huge wheels should be banned as well, that vehicles limits should not be reduced in any way from stock, so the people that fit the giant 26" wheels and such who make their cars handle worse and stop much worse wouldn't be allowed to drive the monstrosity on the road because they are a hazard.

They think they own the road, throw their vehicles at others, cheat at the stop signs, tailgate the cars ahead of them, park the trucks right in the middle, or taking two parking spots, ect, ect.

i dont hate all pickup drivers just the ones with the lift kit the huge *** wheels and the annoying loud mufflers it annoys the **** out of me one tried to race me.......i drive a 2009 BMW 335i Sport and Premium packages and hes braggin about his **** at a red light....thats y i hate some truck drivers

I guess sometimes they get jealous. If by pick-up trucks you mean dodge ram 2500's and Ford 650's then they are really jealous. I love them and plan to get a Ford 650 and im a girl. I do not care what people think about them and neither should you. Drive what you want.
