Where can i get a good landline phone plan without any internet connection?
I do not have any internet in my house and i would like to get a cheap phone plan.Most companies i call have some decent rates but require an internet connection. Do i have any other option other than staying with Verizon.

Try Cucumber Communications.They have some good plans in NY and NJ. I saved a lot of money from switching from Verizon to Cucumber. The phone number is 1800-CUCUMBER or you can fill out a form online http://www.cucumber.com/signup.asp and someone will call you back.

You want to ask for something the phone companies want to keep a secret. It's called tariff or metered calling. You should be able to get phone service with no long distance for less than $20.00 a month.
AT & T offers if as 30 local calls a month then a fee for each call over that. Look at the local phone companies web site to find the offers, than you can tell the customer (no) service person what you want & that the do offer the service. You also might want to look into a prepaid cell plan & do away with the landline.
