No, despite what other people say, the Air Force is not taking prior service members.

Im assuming you are talking about from another branch of the military?
Im not sure what requirements there are or whatever but I know of alot of people that have switched over to the Air Force. Mostly from Army and some from Marines.

yes, a few. Please talk to a recruiter to determine specialty, etc.
Right now, our numbers are tight but if history repeats itself, we'll be hiring a lot again in a couple of years.

Almost never. only if you are already fully qual'd in a job they are undermanned in.. which is.. not many.
