Usually the drive not opening is a physical problem. Straighten out a paper clip and stick it into the emergency release hole. Press against the spring you'll feel and the drive tray will slide out far enough to grab it with your nails and pull it out. If that doesn't work the drive is most likely bad and it's cheaper to replace it than to repair it.
If it opens, close it and open the computer. Make sure both cables are firmly seated at both ends (the power cable will only have the end plugged into the drive if it's a PATA drive [4 wires on the power cable]).
It's not dust or dirt and it's almost certainly not a bad driver.

It's a physical problem. Something in the driver is wrong. Whatever you do, do NOT open the driver up, but you may take it out as the other answers say. You can find the cause from there, you can try, but don't open the inside up. leave that to a professional. A speck of dust frm the air that goes inside of it can seriously damage the drive.

Try inserting a pin into the hole somewhere near the eject button and the drive should pop out
Then start the PC and uninstall the CD Driver and restart.
When it restarts it will automatically start re-installing the CD driver
Hope that works

i dont think you got rid of the virus.try removing the drive, then replacing it and use found new hardware, but i suggest a complete destructive restart.if you can,use a jumpdrive to save your files, then when you put em back, scan em.hope it works out for you.
