After waiting 10 - 15 minutes it will restart.

I would suspect a leaking fuel pressure regulator, very common problem and easy to diagnose. Check by removing vacuum line from regulator, start vehicle and observe regulator for any signs of leakage from regulator nipple. If this doesn't make sense, take to a reputable mechanic.

    Vapor Lock:

A condition in carbureted engines where excessive heat has caused the fuel in the fuel line or fuel pump to boil, blocking the flow of fuel to the carburetor and preventing the engine from starting.

check fuel filter and pump operation
