toyota Celica wire problem (gas gauge).....?

i have a 2000 celica gt and the other day i was trying to cut the wire for the daytime running lights DRL (because i didnt like them) but by mistake the first wire i cut was the wrong one which cause my lcd gas gauge to go out completely....so my question is how much should it cost to take it to a shop and get it repair (i tired electric tape but it wont work)

    splice the wire back together first need to strip (about 1/4 in) to bare copper. a shop will charge you at least an hour, so what ever their rates are about $70-100
