Prefer long or short answers?

I love helping out on Yahoo Answers. My question deals with my possible "wordiness."

Your input will really be valuable to me and those questions I answer. I am mostly in the Family & Relationships area as well a Singles and Dating. My answers are detailed and almost never "yes" or "no."

If the question is involved, the longer my answer goes...and some really go long but usually with lists of things to try or instructions in my field of counseling. Do you prefer short, brief and to the point answers or prefer long, itemized and detailed answers.

Thanks. I hope I hear from a sufficient number of you to guide my answers on Y/A

By the way, I do a lot of counseling in school, pre-marriage, marriage and Family Therapy.

Update:

I only got 4 answers. I would really appreciate more.

I think that depends on the question. E.g. Do you like chocolate? That wouldn't call for a long answer obviously. Another question: My gf is cheating on me, (insert drama here, yadda yadda yadda) what should I do? I would give that one some thought and draw out a long conclusion with reasons as to why this person should or shouldn't do some things.

I think that also depends on the person. Myself? I love the long detailed answers that I can read. I hate long answers when someone says them though. Reading is my speciality. =) Anyway, the only problem I get with long answers is that sometimes the respondent gets off topic and forgets what I wanted answered in the first place.

Wow that was really long! No, just kidding, really. Short brief and to the point is best I think.
