how do i find my product key for office 2007?

I purchased an ASUS eee pc on labor day 2010, and I have used up my 25 uses of Microsoft Office 2007 and cannot do a thing with it now. How do i find the product key that will work for my version of office 2007? I have been on the ASUS website and I know that there is a key somewhere on the computer but I cannot find a page on how to find it. My computer is 12" screen, if hat makes a difference.

You don't have a product key. That's why it was a FREE TRIAL copy. If they had given you a product key, it wouldn't have been a TRIAL copy. To continue using it, you now need to buy a product key.

Note: The 25-character product key on the computer case or laptop bottom is NOT the key for MS Office. It’s only for the Windows operating system.

Here are some of your options for legally paying less than full price for Microsoft Office 2010:

First, if you're a student, you may qualify for the Office 2010 Professional Academic edition at a pretty good price ($79.95):

Second, if you’re interested in buying just Word, check out this URL, especially the second group of listings.

Also, if you have files that are locked up in the new Word 2010 file format (.docx), here’s a possibility for salvaging them. Microsoft offers a free Compatibility pack that allows earlier versions of Word (and Microsoft Works) to read and write Word 2010 files. If you have access to an earlier version, this can at least give you back your documents. Some new features of Word 2010 will be lost or converted to straight text in the conversion to the earlier version.

    Good luck.

When a computer is purchased from an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) the company ( ASUS) will bundle the computer with software for you to use with the new computer. Office Software is installed on the machine as a trial to allow you to see what the program is like and if you will need to have it. After the Trial period has expired then you will have to purchase an office suite from a reseller.
