What information are you plucking from the sky that says it isn't anywhere close to reality? Can you prove the claim you just made?

So far this info is from an anonymous source and comes through an Indian news report. So yes it could very well be false. However, considering that he is suppose to be taking a contingent of 3000 people with him, and will be providing air security, ground security, and coastal security, these claims could just as well be very close to the truth. There have been some reports of a fleet of around 34 ships will also be going. Scrambling the amount of aircraft needed for the security detail alone will wrack up a huge bill. You have a lot of fuel and personnel involved in all this.

It may be true and it may not be true. Fact is the president spends way too much time and money jetting all over the place and accomplishing nothing.

They are renting 5700 rooms to control the entire complex for security reasons. I suggest he tele-conference instead, make Americans proud that he sympathizes with our financial economic plight. Demonstrate leadership and our technology to use computers to meet instead in cyber space. It would be the ultimate in security and would demonstrate integrity and character. Citizens are jobless, losing their homes and while he did suggest extending unemployment, this trip will cost 2 billion dollars of more borrowed money. Obama is simply out of touch with reality! As of August Obama had taken 9 vacations, plus 14 trips to Camp David, totalling 70 days away from the White House. Was he elected to serve or is this the Camelot of the Kennedy era? As of last month, our President has been golfing 52 times since taking office. In a country in financial crisis, he is pretty cavalier about his leisure time. I doubt Bill Gates would spend so much time playing if Micro Soft was on the verge of bankruptcy. Its a question of was he elected to leed, or to just have a good time? Does he really need to go to India? If you had $100,000 on your credit card, while making $50,000 a year, would you invite say 50 of your friends to go on an Alaskan Cruise with you? If you were making your poor neighbors pay for your trip, would it play out any better? We can't afford it, how can he???
