What would be a good substitute for rum in eggnog?

I want to make an alcoholic eggnog this year, but I have friends that wont drink rum. Is there any other alcohol that would be ok in it?

Update:

Thanks everyone for the great answers!

Brandy or Amaretto would be nice. Baileys Irish Cream would be fantastic!!!

I wonder what cinnamon or chocolate schnapps would taste like??

Try a couple of those tiny 1oz mini bottles 1st to see what taste the best.

A Blended Whiskey will work too, but it's gonna change the flavor profile a bit (personally I think for the better, but I like me some whiskey).

Wild Turkey 101. It it spicy and has vanilla tones. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Believe it or not, Bourbon is good.

    Just don't go overboard.
