can you only receive your pell grant if you get a degree?
i'm taking photography classes but i don't feel the urge to get an associates degree because this is only something i will do on the side and i plan to be self employed anyhow. my question is if i'm only taking photography and no general ed will that effect me receiving a pell grant?
i plan on going full time

in order to receive the pell grant you have to be a full time student. taking one class will not qualify you to recieve the pell grant

If you are a full time student then yes, you should be able to recieve the pell grant for the school year, talk to your finance dept in whatever school you are in.
