dogs stitches opening?
i had my dog spayed two weeks ago. she was fine right after surgery. tried to restrict her movement but the next day there was just no way. they looked good until the second week. they look a little red and raw and a few look like they are splitting. she doesn't lick them very much around me but i think she might be doing it when i'm gone. vet wont give me any info over the phone. is there anything i can do without having to take her there?

If her incision site is opening the only thing you should do is have her examined.
You also should have restricted her by crating her when you were not home and having an elizabethan collar on her until the area was completely healed. When you are with her you should have made sure she was not running, jumping, playing or allowing her to lick the area at all (the e-collar would have prevented this) as this would all open the incision.
It is very dangerous for the stitches not be healed correctly and for the incision to be opening. It will leave her open to an infection and the possibility of her being disemboweled.
Take her to a vet and have them examine her.

No, there is nothing you can do but take her to the vet. She may require surgery. It sounds to me like she has torn her inner stitches and now the outer ones are beginning to tear. Vets often do two layers of stitches to ensure the stitches don't come out or tear but even that is to no avail if you allow the dog freedom to run, jump and play after major surgery. I hope that I am wrong.
She may have simply chewed or licked her stitches until the area is inflamed. When you take her back to have the stitches removed the vet can advise you. If he used the 'dissolving' stitches they often itch while they are dissolving; I hope that is all that is wrong.
If her stitches are ripping out it is a shame; it could have been prevented if she had been restrained or put her in her crate following surgery.
Always follow the vet's advice to the letter. Hope it all turns out okay.

After 2 weeks the stitches should be ready to come out, she is probably chewing on them, they're itching.
You could put some bacitracin on the red parts to calm the skin, or maybe rub gently a little lotion to keep them from itching and the lotion won't keep them from drying like they're suppose to.
Does it look like her skin is growing back together, it should be by 2 weeks.

Your dog probably lacks the ability to heal, as evil begets evil. Usually dogs possessed by Satan will often continue to bleed and/or seep puss for the purpose of staining your carpets, couches, bed spreads...just to spite you for cutting them first.
Taking her to the vet could result in loss of life or demonic possession for both you and the vet so its not recommended. What you should do is set the canine on fire and send it back to hell from whence it came. This will be beneficial to mankind as you have defeated the anti-Christ, thus bringing peace and security to Earth.

If your dog has been left alone, she will lick her stitches. If her op was two weeks ago, you can take her for gentle short on leash walks. Until her stitches heal, ask for time off and accrued holidays.

Dog's stitches would have been removed at 10 days.
