Need a home quickly to rent?

I am 57 years old have worked for the same company in Birmingham, AL for over 34 years - I have really had a tough few years and now am desperately in need of a place to rent closer to work as I am facing foreclosure. Any one with any advice or help ASAP - note I live alone, am a hard working Christan woman and all I do is work hard and come home. I do not bother anyone or am not loud or bothersome in any way whatsoever, just desperately need a place to live? Darci

Do a search online for rentals in your area. Since you are 57 yrs. you would qualify for senior housing and some are prorated according to your income. I would check into everything that is available for you ASAP. Call your local Housing Authority and ask if they have Senior housing available, and when applications are taken. Also go to Craigslist.com you can look for housing that is available to rent and also post a free ad as to what you are looking for. Do you belong to a church? If so ask at the church for people who have rentals available. You can also go to Real Estate Agencies and ask there. It is the early bird that gets the worm. Since the housing market has taken a dive, the rental market has soared, so go or call ASAP. Be persistence and persevere Put the word out that you are looking for a rental and word of mouth helps too. Best Wishes in your new rental home search.

Get your butt out and go to a local real estate agent and start searching. There's no way to do it other than hard work. This has nothing to do with being Christian. There would also likely be housing organisations in your area that you can turn to for assistance. Open up your phone book and take a look.

Check on the Craigslist. There are so many properties for rent. I wish you lived in Ohio as I am searching for a decent tenant to rent my nice condo.
