i need to know HOW to get the answer for 3x over 4 minus 6 over 7
im supposed to find the x value so the equation equals zero.how steps pls. thanks

This belongs in mathematics really, but here goes.
3x/4 - 6/7 = 0
You have to think of equations like old fashioned scales with the thing being weighed on one side and the thing you are weighing on the other. The = sign shows that they are balanced (equal).
If it is balanced then if you do the same to both sides the it is still balanced. If you add 1 kg to both sides it balances. If you double what is on each side it balances.
So first add 6/7 to each side.
3x/4 - 6/7 + 6/7 = 0 + 6/7
3x/4 = 6/7
multiply both sides by 4
3x/4 * 4 = 6/7 * 4
3x = 24/7
divide both sides by 3
3x/3 = 8/7
x = 8/7
