    for y intercept

    x=0

    so

    4x+5y=60

    4*0+5y=60

    5y=60

    y=60/5

    y=12

    4x+5y=60

    5y= -4x+60

    ----------------- (divide it all by 5)

    5

    y= -4/5x+12

    Which means that the y-intercept is 12, with the slope of negative 4 over 5.

    THE GENERAL EQUATION IS

    Y=MX+C....WHERE M IS THE SLOPE AND C IS THE Y-INTERCEPT

    4x + 5y = 60

    5y = -4x + 60

    y = (-4/5)x + 12

    COMPARING WITH THE GENERAL EQUATION WE GET..

    y-intercept = 12.
