What’s your favorite brine or marinade for poultry?

I’m roasting a whole chicken instead of turkey for Thanksgiving this year. I planned to serve it over wild rice pilaf, but the plan may have begrudgingly changed to cornbread dressing. What brine or marinade would you recommend for the chicken?

Thanks!

    Wash the chicken vigorously..

    Then soak overnight in salted water..

    ===

    I prefer a dry rub to a marinade..

    A whole chicken or a turkey can be injected/

    I use a couple of liquids to inject--

    Garlic-Butter

    Tomato-Blk. Pepper-Chipotle

    Veg. Oil-BBq sauce

    ..injections need to be strained--or the needle will clog..

    ===

    A easy chicken marinade is salad dressing..

    The Neumann's Own Brand..is one of the best..meat marinade's..

    ===

    Dry Rub..chili powder,,paprika,,oregano,,Blk. Pepper,,Lite Brn. Sugar,,

    ..Teriyaki Sauce,,

    ===

    I allow my meats to marinade over-nite..

    ..same with dry rub..

    ===

    Beef can be done--useing Soy Sauce and Blk. Pepper.
