Using 205 50 16 tires when stock OEM size is 205 55 16?

For my 1998 Audi A6. I found a good deal on used snow tires, but the size is 205-50-16, not the stock 205-55-16. These are going on the stock wine glass rims (that may not matter).

Is it OK to use these tires since the 205 width and 16 size are the same and the 50 is close to the 55?

The load carrying capacity is lower (equivilant to running the right tires under-inflated) so no, I wouldn't do it.

    Slightly smaller side wall height,

It will corner better, and be a little lower to the ground.

    Good choice.Go for it.
