Will continue to watch NASCAR if Jimmie Johnson wins the championship this year?

I know I will because he is my favorite driver. Reason I"m asking is, I've been reading a lot of comments on Nascar.com and other places saying that "Oh if Jimmie wins again I"m done with Nascar" to me this is just childish. Because we all know if it was your favorite driver dominating you wouldn't be saying this. Johnson has earned his place in Nascar. So will You continue to watch, or are you just a "fair weather fan" like the others

I agree with you. Jimmie is my favorite driver and if he keeps winning he is obviously the best driver...why shouldn't he win? People shouldn't stop watching because someone is a good driver.

    Source(s): Go Johnson!

That way of thinking is childish. There will never be any circumstance that causes me stop watching NASCAR. I'm a big sports fan in general and streaks are a part of every sport. Streaks always come to an end, as will Jimmie's before long.

Also, I don't necessarily watch NASCAR for the championship. Sure, it's exciting and interesting, but I watch for the good racing every weekend. Hell, if NASCAR had no championship, I would still watch on a regular basis. I'm simply a racing fan.

No, Jimmie Johnson received't win the championship this year, neither will Mark Martin. (I advise rather, if Mark Martin wins, it is going to look so staged). i imagine Tony Stewart or Jeff Gordon or Denny Hamlin might want to win it.

I've stuck it out through all the crappy restrictor plate races, phantom cautions, tire wars, and everything else Nascar has been through. Any driver (and team) that can do 5 in a row is absolutely astounding. Four in a row is unbelievably impressive and probably won't ever be done again in my lifetime.

It's tough to see other's frustration if he is your favorite driver. But yes, I will continue to watch Nascar if he wins it all again. I'm more frustrated that my drivers can't catch him than I am at Jimmie.

Of course, I will continue to watch it, but of course, I will be pissed off beyond belief if Jimmie wins a 5th straight >_>

Nope. Don't watch it now. Just wait for the races to be over, check the statistics, watch rewinds of race videos. The sport was ruined a long time ago with Brian France. There really is no reason to watch it when you know the same stupid stuff will happen each week. NASCAR will never be what it once was with Brian France in office. Someone will have to start another racing association for it to be exciting again. Sad but it's true.

I sure will. Drivers like Hamlin and Harvick who have negative attitudes toward the sport sometimes turn me off more than Johnson does.
