Lasik procedure... scared sh*tless!?

Im 23 F and I may be getting Lasik surgery in a few months and I stupidly watched a video on Youtube.com on how it was done and now I'm freaked out beyond belief... anyone have this procedure done and would you do it again if you had to or was it that bad? Tell me a short story of your experience. I'm freaked out.

Im a just turned 24/M, I had it Oct 8 2010, the first 3 weeks my eyes were really dry after the procedure, and I had a subconjuctival hemorrhage. Dry Eyes and the Hemorrhage are 2 of the most common complications, the blood from hemorrhage is gone now, but I was really worried about the dry eyes because on the internet and on yahoo answers i read about how people have dry eyes forever (just check yahoo answers search for lasik dry eyes and you will read about people who had lasik have permanent dry eyes), and I was really worried Id have that. But thankfully my eyes are watery now and I don't need to put in drops constantly. Make sure you ask your dr to do a lacrimation test, and ask him about dry eyes, how often does it occur with his patients after their procedures. For the first month after the procedure you have to put eye drops and antibiotic eye drops in your eyes for the first 2 weeks. I recommend you also buy Omega 3 Vitamins and Flax seed Oil, because they are known to help improve lacrimation, I also bought those, and I think they helped alot.

I recommend you goto the LASIK Wikipedia page and read the complications section, so you can ask your Ophthalmologist before you undergo anything.

I don't wanna scare you, I myself have no problem, I can clearly now without glasses, but I just want to educate you on the risks, because we all know the benefits.

Most people believe that once they are diagnosed with some vision problem and start wearing eye glasses or contact lenses to correct them, they will have to do so for life in order to see better. Those who want a permanent solution to improve eyesight typically resort to Lasik or other corrective eye surgeries. But you you can also improve your vision without surgery and can see perfectly well without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. You can check here to know how https://tr.im/8b6d1

    Well you can have lasik.

    But its worth noting:

    1. You might have to be awake during the whole proceedure.

    2. That they might use a blade to cut a flap in your cornea.

    3. That there's a chance of getting the results you want. But also a chance of having worse night vision and needing reading glasses (because the work of the crystalline lens will be less effective in viewing near objects)

    4. Muscle atrophy continuing with your eye-muscles (the partial or compete wasting away of muscle) this is because of a long-term reluctance to contract/relax the obicularis oculi, ciliary and extraocular muscles. (Not consciously but rather by the interruption of their normal functioning due to stress and a misguided psychology)

If you have suffered from any of these side effects from (having myopia and wearing concave lenses) then you can anticipate them continuing:

    1. Inability to breathe through nose

    2. tongue thrust and pursing of lips when swallowing

    3. Tension and malfunction in other parts of the body.

    4. Poor Balance

    5. Attempting to feel normal by dumping/projecting dysfunction onto others.

    6. Excessive Light sensitivity (Due to inactive iris)

    7. Lack of comfort with living in present and experiencing sights and sounds in real time

    8. Elongation of the eyeball = worse vision in long run

    9. A psychology that plays games (such as imposing change on people or having change imposed on you via intrusion/ interference.

    10. Inability to turn eyes around and tilting head instead to look around

    11. Prefering to spend time indoors rather than outdoors (in contrast to other people)

    12. Inability to smile naturally

Well thats it, good luck with the surgery!

all the different posters are appropriate those letters are pretend. the certainty of the subject is each time somebody sends a chain letter there's a software related to the letter that reads and saves each and all of the e-mail handle which you deliver them to ,sending the innovations to the writer of the letter. In turn the writer of the letter sales the handle to those who deliver you junk mail, that's have been your junk mail comes from in case you ever ask your self how they get your email. this is all approximately funds and that's it. do no longer loose sleep over this kay, you no longer basically would be superb via deleting those yet you would be saving a superb style of your people from coping with stupid junk mail e-mails.
