McIlroy has stated that he will not take up a full PGA card this year as he does not want to play the minimum number of tournaments in the US to have a PGA card. He will still play a good number of tournaments in the US, but will be based in Europe where all his family and other close contacts are.
To say these guys are not the best in the world is idiotic at best. Westwood is #1, Mcilroy is #9 and Kaymer is #3 .
Six of the top ten golfers are NOT American, twelve of the top twenty are NOT American. The days of total dominance by American golfers is long gone. While the prize money on offer on the PGA Tour is still far better than any other tour, the money on the European tour is pretty damn good as well. And, as in McIlroys case, it's not all about the money.

Not join or not play in the states? Either way, that's their choice. It's not like the PGA Tour will fold because those players aren't playing. Frankly, the money in Europe is nothing compared to the PGA Tour. They'll play events like the majors and the WGC events since they're on both tour schedules.

As long as they will do their best to compete heartily and can beat tiger woods record well that is something! Good luck to both of them I wish they could also play at golfzoo.com golf course destination.

Who cares.they aren't the best players in the world so who cares. They are better off playing in tournaments that they can collect points in without testing their games.
