Violation Notice-vey: Why one earth would someone do this to me?

Just recently I had made an appeal when someone had reported me. I wrote a very polite and reasonable appeal to the report that was made something like three days ago and the Y!A staff has not yet responded to me. I just now went into my yahoo mail and found a violation notice, because someone reported me for misusing the answers guidelines. The question that was posted was "Which race has the most beautiful people." I then answered by saying, "Well, if I answered honestly, isn't there a chance that someone will report me?"

Really, I think the intelligent thing to do was to avoid answering this kind of question altogether. At one time, I used to be a top contributor in Dream Interpretation, and would spend much of my time giving very long and highly detailed interpretations to people who had to know the real answer. About half of these people never chose best answer and so I had to work twice as hard to become a top contributor in dream interpretation. It seems like most of the people here at Y!A don't really care much about helping others and just want to talk drivel and have fun reporting others over petty reasons?

Okay, so what do you think? Can anyone tell me why I deserved to be reported and did I really get what was coming to me?

I'll accept any criticisms as well.

Ten points for the best answer!

Update:

Kirk: Oh, okay! Yes I should have realized that sooner. I've studied over the community guidelines and know the guidelines well enough, but I don't always remember.

Update 2:

Zip: If you would have read my question more carefully, you'd know that I didn't ask that question, I merely gave an answer to it. Okay yes, there is one race, the human race.

    Here's the best answer:

Has the question been removed for violation of answers guidelines?

Had you answered 'white', 'black' or whichever, then there would be no reason to remove your answer.

But an answer like 'Well, if I answered honestly, isn't there a chance that someone will report me?' is chat, which is against the answers guidelines. This is why it was reported, according to the guidelines.

Sidenote: if you're answering a simple question like that, assume a side and answer it. I'd answer that question with 'the white race'. Mine wouldn't be removed, cause I'd be stating an opinion, you see my point?

Your answer hasnt been removed for implied racism; it has been removed for .. lack of answer and it being chat.

Now about em ten points d:p

Some people think anyone with an opinion different to theirs is obviously the spawn of the devil. Which is a shame. I've been reported a few times, I'd say I deserved one, when someone asked something about horoscopes I replied

'Horoscopes aren't real, sorry,' which was pretty bad but I think I was in a bad mood at the time.

I try not to agitate people and deliver my response as calmly as possible. In debates I often see the person asking the question insulting me 'Are you an idiot?' but I never respond to that and simply back up my claims with facts. ]

I think because of your answer someone misinterpreted you as being racist and thought I need to report this on grounds of racism, when in fact I'm sure your answer was perfectly benign. It can be a case of misunderstanding at times.

Unfortunately yahoo doesn't employ a good system of reporting and removing of abusive answers. so instead the reporting system is getting abused. politics and religion categories are even worse. whatever you try, you might get reported. Yahoo doesn't respond to appeals, but they do look at appeals and sometimes they re-instate the answer/question. Don't try to write newspaper for them. they are obviously normal folks like us and don't want to read too much. summarize. and also avoid trollish questions/answers.

The excuse is which you 'did no longer answer'... you need to continually be careful, checklist trolls are continually gazing and you're able to be able to ought to wind up being an extremely mediocre answerer. Like me.
