Are Tea Party voters starting to feel scorned that their candidates are already reversing campaign positions..?

...on spending?

Rand Paul reverses on core campaign pledge before even taking office

"In a bigger shift from his campaign pledge to end earmarks, he tells me that they are a bad "symbol" of easy spending but that he will fight for Kentucky's share of earmarks and federal pork, as long as it's doled out transparently at the committee level and not parachuted in in the dead of night," Paul told the Journal for an interview published Saturday.

Errrrr, excuse me yet there aren't any TEA social gathering campaign grants to be damaged. Why? because there has been no TEA social gathering cost ticket of political applicants. You libs nonetheless do not get the very fact that the TEA social gathering is a populist flow and is no longer allied with any prepared nationwide political social gathering. in reality the TEA social gathering has been in simple terms as unhappy with Republicans because it has with Democrats, and that is the position libs omit the boat.

No, Paul is just being real. If their are earmarks to say, repair a bridge in Kentucky, and the money is doled out in a transparent manner, where is the problem?

The problem with some earmarks is that, year after year the same organization gets earmarked money. No one knows what this organization does, or what the money goes for. Sometimes the organization's name changes every year slightly, to confuse people into thinking it went to a different group.

It's a bit premature for me to venture that far, but at the same time, a Professional Politician must be willing to flip-flop with the ability to sell it as well!

    This is not a reversal.

There is a difference between being against such wasteful spending, and making sure Kentucky gets its cut GIVEN that such spending is taking place.

This is similar to what Ron Paul does in the house. He votes against wasteful spending, but makes sure that some of the spending in the bill goes to benefit his district. He's essentially saying "Don't pass this, but IF you do, my district shouldn't get screwed."

It is really scary that people can be journalists without the ability to understand this simple distinction.

@Will Take the time to read and actually understand what I wrote, and, if necessary, learn how the legislative process works. THEN, if you can, type something that actually refutes it.

Childish insults are typically a sign that the person typing has nothing substantive to say, but is afraid to admit that he might be wrong.

@Arminius. Nice job. And how long did it take you to put a Conservative spin on Paul's spin? Typical Conservative.

Voters can be gullible/naive. We will see. This just might be an interesting two years. We might have to vote for 'change again' in two years.

They're really just incredibly stupid, aren't they?

This is what happens when you focus on being angry, and not on figuring out what you're so angry about. You get taken by an obvious fraud like Rand Paul. Kentucky deserves him, but what did the rest of us do?

Any politician that votes for pork will see how long a memory the voters have .We are after all more than broke.

Just so long as their candidate keeps up the "we hate liberals" routine - the tea party will never second guess.
