how can i hook up my computer to my TV?

Well my mom has an HDTV or whatever that allows her to hook her computer up to her TV with a simple cord and it allows her to see on the TV the same thing thats on her monitor. It lets u see both at once.

Now i have a normal TV and i might be getting another TV but not like my mom's tv. However i remember in school that my Teachers have been doing the same thing with those regular old crappy TVs up until they started getting the projectors. so i was curious if it was possible to do this with a regular TV too? i think they used the Red White and Yellow cords (i forgot the name) but I'm not sure. i really want to do this D:

Yes you can there are a number of different ways to do so, you Mothers video card and her television both have the same type of input out put, Likely HDMI, there are a number of different converter boxes and cables that would allow you to do the same if your television doesn't have this from of input and your video card has this form of output. The are also media cards that you can install in your computer typically using the expansion slots in the back (most are currently pci but there are other types as well) that will allow you to have either Coaxial or rca (the red yellow white cords you mentioned earlier) you can also get a number of small broadcasting expansions as well that allow you to transmit the video and audio feeds. Finally some computers most notably the commodore 64 had a television feed as its default means of video output.

That said you tend to get much better results with HD TV's versus many normal tube TV's as the resolution and refresh rates on most televisions aren't great for reading typical text sizes without eyestrain.

If your tv have a S video slot and a audio slot then you can us it. If u are using a laptop it has a round circle with holes in it. That's where the s- video cord goes. Then on the tv it should have the same thing. The audio cord goes where the headphones go on your laptop. And the other end should have two color parts put them in the back of the tv. It should work the same way with a computer.

easiest method is a card with a television out. Or a television with a enter with a computer like minded plug. We use(at artwork) an NEC 40-60 inch demonstrate screen, and its a accepted Plasma television, and the computer has a DVI splitter to 2 analogue ports.or you need to use a DVI to DVI single cable. rather relies upon on your hardware. sometime you desire a center junction container, from time to time the computer will plug spectacular into the television. extra often than not in case you have a HD television its completely there.
