NFL Relocation Question?

My guess is that the vikings will end up in LA! Do you think the city of Birmingham would be a good fit for the jaguars? Or Memphis? Tell me what you think!

Los Angeles, along with the county and state, have approved the construction of a stadium. They've waved the environmental laws that would add years and huge $$$'s to the cost of construction.

But the guy who has proposed to build the stadium, Ed Roski, won't start construction until he's got a firm commitment from the NFL to place a team there. He's also demanding at least a 30% ownership of the relocating team, so that makes getting a team harder to do.

Roski wants the Chargers but would probably accept the first team that agrees to the 30% deal. I'm thinking the Vikings will have to be a lot more desperate than they are now or Roski will have to back off the 30% before they'll move to LA.

Teams with wavering franchises can use the LA possibility as a bluff to get new stadiums in their current locations. The Jags are the most likely to move, but I'm thinking they'll end up going to Orlando where they already have a huge fan base.

Who knows what will happen. But LA will probably be the next city to get an NFL team. I think the odds favor the Chargers, then the Vikings, and then the Jags.

Memphis would be a good NFL city but there is little chance because the Titans rule that state. Getting the owners to approve a second team in Tennessee is highly unlikely.

And Birmingham would be a great NFL city and the Jags would be a good fit. But I don't see that happening either because the league considers Birmingham a small market. And, if a team does relocate they want it to be to a large market area.

Yeah the Vikings are sure to go to L A . Especially after the insane year they're having they will not get a new taxpayer funded stadium up there . The Jaguars will move too because they can't sell a ticket but I didn't know that Birmingham was courting a team .

The Vikings? No, they'll stay in Minesota. Perhaps the Browns will move... despite having decent fans, Cleveland isn't all that profitable. But, if any team moves to LA, it will be the Jaguars. I think Birmingham will get an MLS team (soccer), but I don't see it getting an NFL team.

bew you shouldn't talk if you don't know anything about football the Browns not profitable they have one of the biggest fan bases around buying Browns stuff and going to games. Please don't talk if you don't know what you're talking about.
