I want to fix a paint crazing problem on my hood. Can I just fill, prime and paint?
The crazing looks like fine cracks randomly dispersed on the hood. This hood was repainted at least 3 years ago. The crazing was already there when I bought the truck. I'm not excited about sanding the paint off the whole hood. Can I just use filler to fill in the cracks, prime the whole hood and paint? I'm not looking to keep this truck forever. If it lasts a couple of years, I'll be happy.

If you paint over a problem (such as rust or peeling paint) it will return.
Something has caused your paint to do what it has done. Most likely either poor reduction, or using a wrong primer or one not sealed.
The paint that is on there now is moving, thus causing the crazing appearance. If you put new paint on top of that, the old will still move thus crazing the new!
Best to strip that one down to the "white" (bare metal) then go back up with it.

It sounds like your clear coat has started cracking. do a light sanding so you don't take the paint of and re-clear coat the hood.
