Why are all 3 fighters that fought Mayweather and Pacquiao, say Mayweather was better?

In my own opinion and observation, Floyd Mayweather is really a better fighter than Manny Pacquiao, unfortunately being a better fighter is not a guarantee of a win. It is more than that. There are factors to consider otherwise there is already a fight. Odds makers of Las Vegas open the betting during the first negotiation with Manny Pacquiao as the favorite although I don't know for how long. They got something they knew that we don't.

These fighters who said that Floyd is better than Manny as a fighter has some bitterness toward Pacquiao. Oscar de le Hoya can not believed that he lost that bad to an smaller fighter. Marquez up to now was under the hills of Manny hoping to get one last chance of making a big pay check. Ricky Hatton likewise bitter by getting KO'd that fast. In other words, their own analysis is not that reliable and somewhat bias.

Manny Pacquiao can be called a catchweight king or whatever but the truth is clear that he is fighting a way much bigger opponent and it is just natural for him to find and look for something that will make it in an even field. Have you seen or name a fighter who fought in a weight class several notches higher like what he was doing without asking for anything to at least make it even and won?

I think it won't be the competitive match everyone expects, so I must say I agree with you. Initially, I thought Pac should have fought Mosley instead, but the bandwagon driven by Arum was set on Floyd Mayweather. This fight is already predetermined. Pacquiao's reckless style and lack of defense will cost him the fight. Numbers don't lie. Compubox shows Mayweather is more accurate and receives less punches per fight than Pacquiao does. Sure Pacquiao throws a lot of punches but rarely ever do they all land. He might seem busy but he's not effective the whole time whereas Floyd may not seem that busy but he's more accurate and possibly more effective. I think this is an easy UD for Floyd with the wild card that Pacquiao can KO him midfight in a careless moment by Floyd. I thought Shane had more than Pacquiao to offer before their fight but I'll admit Shane was too old to fight.

I don't think Hatton can say anything since he didn't even last 2 rounds vs Pacquiao, lets not forget when he got KO he looked like a fish out of water trying to breath, lol

DLH, he knows he was at the end of his career when he face Mayweather and way over the end of his career when he face Pacquiao.

Marquez was embarrassed by Floyd Joy, as much as I hate to admit it while Manny and him had many close fights, lets not forget stlyes make fights.

If their fight ever happens, it could go either way, if Manny catches Floyd Joy with a punch like Mosley landed on him, Manny will close the show and wont fade in the later rounds or give up that way. He would throw punches until they land, not to mention that he is fast and a power lil guy

Floyd Joys slickness is too much for any boxer, go back and look at Cotto vs Pacquiao, when (Only when) Cotto would box, he would frustrate Manny however Cotto fell into Mannys type of fight and got caught , the same can be said when boring @$$ Clotey fought Manny, Pacquiao couldn't get thru that defense and was getting frustrated too, now with Floyd's extreme boxing skills and superb defense I can see Manny losing 12 UD

Hand speed I say they are about the same, only thing is Manny throws in combos while Floyd is more careful

I don't know what 3 fighters you're referring to but, it's probably because Manny is easier to figure out. Pacquiao is a puncher, a smart puncher and a quick puncher but a puncher nonetheless. Mayweather is really smart and no matter how good his opponent is, he makes them look like an amateur. How woud you feel if you were one of the best boxers in the world and then Mayweather makes you look like a chump?
